Описание

Experiments on $e^+e^-$ annihilation into hadrons are being conducted at the Budker Institute of Nuclear Physics (BINP SB RAS, Novosibirsk) with the Cryogenic Magnetic Detector (CMD-3) at the electron-positron collider VEPP-2000. The main goal of these experiments is to measure the cross section of annihilation of an electron-positron pair into hadrons, which is necessary to calculate the contribution of the strong interaction to the vacuum polarization when measuring the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon.

The process $ e^+e^- \longrightarrow \pi^+\pi^-\pi^0\eta$ studied in this work is important because the cross section of this process contributes to the total cross section $e^+e^- \longrightarrow hadrons $.

The analysis uses data collected by the CMD-3 detector during the 2019-2023 years, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 481.7 $pb^{−1}$ in the center-of-mass energy range of 1440 - 2007 MeV.

We describe the event selection criteria and the procedure for kinematic reconstruction. The detection efficiency was determined through a Monte Carlo simulation, which accurately models the response of the detector and the passage of particles through its systems.

As a result, we report the measured cross section for the process $ e^+e^- \longrightarrow \pi^+\pi^-\pi^0\eta$. We also present the contributions from intermediate resonant states $\omega(782)\eta$, $\phi(1020)\eta$, dominated in lower energy range, and $a_0(980)\rho(770)$, dominated intermediate state at higher energies.
