Описание

Recent results on proton-lead collisions with large forward rapidity gap events at the LHC
(\sqrt[s_pN]= 8160 GeV) show a dominance of photon exchange events over events with pomeron exchange. A comparison of LHC proton-proton and proton-nuclear forward rapidity gap events allows the estimations of A- and Z- dependencies of pomeron- and photon- exchange contributions, as well as the ratio between coherent and incoherent exchange processes. A possible UNK proton beam by 400-1000 GeV (\sqrt[s_pN]=27.5-43.4 GeV) with pp- and pA- collisions would provide a good opportunity to study dynamics of the pomeron and photon exchange in rapidity gap events and diffraction processes.
