The connection between the equation of state of fireball
matter produced in collisions of heavy nuclei and the distribution of such fireballs in the net-baryon number is considered on the basis of lattice simulations of QCD at imaginary chemical potential. A particular attention is given to events with great net-baryon numbers. Equations of state are discussed that assume a phase transition with a discontinuity in the net-baryon number density at μB∼1GeV.
